Stuyvesant Town tenants recently displaced by Operation Clean Sweep have finally received assistance in the form of FEMA trailers meant for hurricane Katrina survivors. The first of 15 FEMA trailers was delivered yesterday and set up in Stuyvesant Oval to accommodate the recently evicted rent stabilized tenants."This secondhand trailer is a godsend," says Mary Weiss, a former rent stabilized tenant who was illegally evicted - without notice - to make room for the influx of New School students Stuyvesant Town is now housing. "It's crazy! First they house N.Y.U. Students and now The New School? What's next, Bowery bums? I'm a CPA!"
Another tenant is just happy to bath again. "I've been sleeping under a tree in the Oval for weeks. Security always chases me out of the fountain at night when I freshen up. I hate them."
Mayor Michael Bloomberg has ordered Stuyvesant Town / Tishman Speyer to host the trailers until the evicted tenants are able to find permanent residences.

Robbie and I find those attractive NYU and New School students, helpful, entertaining and fun, I mean funny.
Luxie! Who gave you permission to photograph Beulette's home!
I reckoned that was the new "essential" ovalCONJUGAL. Beulah, sorry for violatin' your Beulette! By the look of my rash, I think she has got quite a few "gentlemen callers"!
Is that for real or is Lux Living playing a joke with a photoshopped photo?
Well, if you choose to live in ovalCONJUGAL, do you still have to pay the MCI's?
It was really there by the TishSpy putting green yesterday morning.
You got that wrong Luxie, we order Michael Bloomberg, he doesn't order us.
You neglected to mention that the displaced tenants are forced to share their FEMA trailers with members of Stuy Town's lost Tasaday Tribe:
