Oval

So they DID discontinue Oval NYU! THAT'S why the public garbage cans are always overflowing with pizza boxes, Budweiser cans and spent frat girls!
How could you overlook the one amenity that is available? I'm referring to "Oval Pee".
Guard Booth? What guard booth? There was never a guard booth. Don't even try to file for a rent reduction or we will find you and make OVAL-Souey out of you.
Luxie honey, you forgot to mention that out of the six washers and six dryers for each building at least two of each will be out of order and that you shouldn't put more than a pair of sox and a thong in the washers because there is not enough water to wash any more.
The "front doors on every building" is no great amenity either, considering the NYU and yuppie/yunnie trash they're letting in, who we're now forced to have as neighbors.
Any bets on when this crap will really open? I wager $1 on May 1, 2009.
My clam says December 1, 2008.
It is 5.20 pm now and the drilling at the oval lounge is going loud and furious like it is the end of the world. Hoped they would finish by 5 pm but looks like they are going to work all night to be able to finish construction by the end of this month.
I hope they pass all dob safety requirements. Oh, silly me! Of course they will because TS will pay the inspectors to pass everything with flying colors!
Tenants should check out the Asser Levy Gym on 23rd street one block west of the FDR Drive. It's only $75 a year and they have more equipment than Oval Fitness.
I feel bad for the people who live in the apartments right over these 'amenities'...the noise must be maddening~
