Stuyvesant Town Blames Racist Tenants, not India Outsourcing, for Recent Increase in Evictions

Syuyvesant Town outsources their billing to India.Residents of Stuyvesant Town have been given the run around when it comes to their late rent bills. Tenants have been complaining that their bills have been two weeks late, if they receive them at all. Tishman Speyer has been more than happy to point out to tenants that paying their rent late is grounds for eviction, as forty-three rent stabilized tenants just found out. Sitting curbside, these tenants are left wondering if their missing rent bills were an honest mistake or another one of management's shady tricks to evict stabilized tenants.

In April of 2008, Tishman Speyer began outsourcing their accounts to Fortune Infotech located in Baroda, India. Fortune Infotech is a provider of offshore outsourcing services, with a specific focus on business process outsourcing and provides back office services, such as transaction processing, claims processing and accounts payable processing services. Tishman Speyer tried to keep the deal quiet but residents became suspicious when their calls to the management office were rerouted to India.

"I called the management office when I noticed my rent bill hadn't arrived yet," said Margaret Maxwell, a Stuyvesant Town resident for over thirty years. "They put me on hold for twenty minutes and then some Indian lady came on the line and was asking me if my day was pleasant and if my bill was satisfactory. Well, no!"

Another tenant we spoke with told us she was placed on hold for six and a half hours while an Indian representative tried to figure out why her rent had gone up $5,000 in a single month. "It was so hard to hear him over the crackling line and I had to constantly repeat myself. It was like talking to a three year old."

Tishman Speyer spokesman, Bud Perrone, claims that it's purely coincidental that only stabilized tenants have had problems. "Maybe if they spent less time being racist and more time paying their bills they wouldn't have so many problems."

Look at that outrageous markup! You magnificant Bastards, I Salute you!

Usually, I walk down 14th Street to get home, but one day I decided to walk through the 16th Street entrance at First Avenue. I saw many gardeners and was touched and pleased to see an old man working. I thought, how wonderful of T-S to hire elderly people - how progressive and non-ageist. Now i find out that the old guy was Bud Perrone's father. Never mind racism or ageism, how about nepotism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TishSpy is clearly anti-American. They send American jobs overseas and those "jobs" are intended to put Americans out of their homes and harrass and rob them blind. Rob Speyer should be taken to Gitmo and left there. Dirty, little treasonous bastard! He'll love it there when he bends over though!

So I get served by a processor for not paying June rent which I had placed in the unmanned Oval security booth. I call and got Bombay. Miss Bombay told me I was up to date through August with a double (!?) payment in July. Then I got a certified letter today from zip code 10013 but I wasn't home to receive. The PCVST TA tells me I wouldn't have this problem if I paid my rent. Who should I believe???

Signed,

Confused (HEY THIS BETTER BE ANONYMOUS IF NOT IGNORE IF SO DELETE THIS PART!)

Perhaps Tishman Speyer should consider opening its outsourced billing office in Idaho, Alabama, or Georgia so as to take advantage of states that are less developed. Now, I must get back to my date with Michael Caine and Sean Connery...

What's up with the constant references to R. Speyer's sexuality?

Rob Speyer's sexuality is his business, but I don't feel it's appropriate for him to strut around the Oval wearing buttless chaps. Rumor has it that he wears this get-up while cruising for boy toys among the illegal immigrant maintenance workers.

Is it just billing that is outsourced to India? I called maintenance the other day about a bad smell in the lobby and was told "Memsahb, when the Ganges is high we are getting these nasty smells. Also some of your neighbors are letting their donkeys go where they please and this is causing big stink. Now, what is problem with your computer?"

To Politically correct: Well, if we were to refer to Mr. Speyer's brains, intellect and management skills we would have absolutely nothing to talk about.

I think that my electricity has been outsourced to India--it's impossible to use a vacuum cleaner or a blow dryer without blowing a fuse. Guess it's because all of my new neighbors have 3 air conditioners in their apartments. So I concentrate on my mantra and let it go.

Yeah Beulah, Leave that
thin, wiry-haired man with a secret passion for professional wrestling, who joined his father’s company a decade ago after stints as a reporter for two local newspapers alone! After all he is a self made man that has done really well for himself by being born into a rich family. He's just cleansing NYC so he can get what he really wants - attention from daddy. To repeat: Rob Speyer is not the world's greatest real estate fool.
