This will require technology and new revenue streams. The federations will have to take into account the new, much younger fans and also their demand for equality and togetherness. They will demand the same treatment of women, gays, and minorities as everybody else. The new generation will also not accept racism anymore. This will have to be embraced by clubs, players, and the media.

They will also demand a better understanding of what goes on in the match through data analysis and video analysis. For example, they will want to know what the players feel, hear, sense etc. Imagine that your club jersey will vibrate when a player gets hit by a ball or that it can show you the trajectory of the ball.
