Mathews Compound Bow V3X Review

From a bowhunting standpoint, Mathews Compound bow is known to offer the modern archer maximum adjustability and performance. Their patented cams and modules, Shot Sense module, and other features make them some of the quietest, most accurate, and smooth-shooting bows available.

Designed to be a full-featured hunting bow, the V3X is a great choice for those who want everything in one package. Available in axle-to-axle lengths of 29 and 33 inches, this versatile rig can be shot at a wide range of draw weights thanks to SwitchWeight Technology, which allows the shooter to select peak draw weights in five-pound increments through the cams. It also offers a choice of letoffs—80 or 85 percent.

Exploring Mathews Compound Bows: Unleashing Precision and Power

The bow also features limb savers to help squelch noise and vibration to aid in precision shooting. The Parallel Limb Design first introduced on a Mathews bow in 1996 is still intact, along with limb dampers to help keep the limbs centered during draw.

For 2022, Mathews has made a few changes to the V3X that improve on the already exceptional design. For example, it offers a new Granite finish that gives the bow a tough, tactical appearance. And the limbs now feature special posts that work with the Mathews Stay Afield System (a length of flo-orange servicing cable attached to the cams and used to press the bow against the wall for string and cables adjustments in the field). This year, they also added a new version of the Integrated Rest Mounts, which clamp on to the riser’s dovetails and eliminate the need for a separate rest arm and mounting bolt that screws into a Berger hole.
