This old bird prefers hot showers and rarely takes baths. But last night, due to a lingering sore back, I thought it might be a good idea to soak for a while in a hot tub - surely a basic amenity, even in most non-luxury apartments.

I turned on the water and went into the bedroom to change. When I returned, my bath was a lovely shade of autumn gold, heading toward brown!!! I had not contemplated a mud bath, and did not want one now. So much for my sore back.

And this was in 7 Oval, not on East 20th Street or Avenue C!!! It's nice to know that unhealthy, subhuman conditions in this luxury complex are extended to everyone.

It gets worse here every day.

I wish I had a nickle for every time somebody walked by my office and asks me "what are you reading?" while I read this site. The look of horror on their faces when they see the brown water bathtubs, toxic mold spores and piles of garbage is priceless. I tell them it's Stuyvesant Town and suddenly their apartment buildings don't seem so bad.

I just sent the link to a friend who was asking about apartments in Stuyvesant Town. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy, let alone a friend!

The DEP says the problem is with the Croton Aqueduct switchover, but my apartment doesn't have any brown water, and tho I have seen it happen, I haven't had any of that on a regular basis, and none at all for quite a long time.

Because our apartments are so luxurious, premium beer is now flowing through our taps. It's a bit on the flat side, but whatever!

We have champagne.

To celebrate Rob Speyer's nuptials, everyone gets a once in a lifetime "Speyer Golden-brown Shower". L'chayim!

I wonder if 'ol Robbie will be taking his blushing bride to Gorgeous Goat Night at Oval Bada Bing??

I needed a tan knit bolero jacket to wear over my new season-spanning flattering patterned knit dress. Per usual, I had no extra money to buy one, but I did have a white one that I wear very seldomly. I simply took an 8 quart stainless steel pot, and filled it with cold water from the tap in our Stuy Town bathtub. Then I saturated my white bolero in the cold water. After 15 minutes I added 1/2 cup of salt to set the color. It came out beautifully! My bolero jacket is now a beautiful tan and matches my new dress perfectly! I've even washed it 2 or 3 times, and if anything, it's even more of a tan color than before!

Strangely enough, all my white intimates and shapewear are now tan, too!

Maybe we can open up a tenant -owned tanning salon using our colored "safe" water!
Wow .Thanks TS for the new home business opportunity

Pfft .. remember these are luxury apartments..the water is actually gold tinted.. not brown !
