Just two weeks after opening, Oval Kids' floor to ceiling glass windows have already sprung several leaks. A Sty Spy snapped this photo of a lux garbage can put in place to catch dripping water in the washed out wreck room. The Sty Spy says:"Since it was raining today I decided to take my toddler to the Oval Kids room, the only "amenity" of any use to us.
Once there I noticed water dripping from those glass ceilings which protrude out from the structure. Obviously the ceilings were not sealed properly and were causing quite the mini-flood, because under one of the leaks was a giant plastic trash can, already halfway full of water. The other leaks did not have trash cans underneath them yet so they were soaking the floor. In the photo you can see the trash can and one of the floor puddles.
It should be noted that little kids were running around this area and none of the staff members tried to stop them, or close off the area."
Just a week ago Oval Film underwent renovations for similar problems. The Oval Amenities / Essentials opened months behind schedule and were christened with a broken beer bottle swung by a rogue Tishman Speyer partygoer. The large, voyeur-friendly windows reveal there is little interest in the vacant fluorescent wonderlands.
So now look forward to OvalMold and OvalFungus. You really want to expose your kids to the kind of "workmanship" our bad joke of landlord does? Better let the kid go play on a landfill.

I am picturing a board room full of executives giving props to the promising young Speyer for his decision to approve these silly amenities. What a bunch of irresponsible yes-men.
I walked by OvalKids today. It was packed with toddlers, crawling around and licking the nice cold plate glass window. Can't wait to see how crowded this singularly useful "amenity" will get.
I get nauseous just thinking about the hygiene. It's a giant petrie dish, and unless they installed a Lysol Sprinkler System, this place is going to cause an outbreak of plague this winter.
