Nah, just more routine midnight construction projects.In an effort to further encourage Stuyvesant Town residents to loathe their space, tonight Tishman Speyer allowed this construction crew to build a temporary (emergencey?) façade outside the Dunkin' Donuts and Verizon stores on First Avenue. A Sty Spy took these photos of the construction site around midnight when she gave up on sleeping because of the late night sawing taking place beneath her window.
This is totally outrageous. It is illegal and they are getting away with it because they are such arrogant, contemptuous vermin. I hope he residents called 311. No wonder the RE uberlords want Bloomberg to run (contrary to the people's wishes) for a third term. Only with him in office can they get away with flagrantly breaking the law like this. You should call the cops. It is illegal to work at those hours (except for emergencies) . Since these guys could not have a valid permit, the cops would have shut them down.
